Band – Ms. Maren Glover Band Syllabus

Ms. Glover has been teaching band at MVA since 2016 and also teaches band and orchestra at MVHS. She loves playing all the band instruments but plays bassoon, tuba, and flute the most. She looks forward to sharing all of the wonderful opportunities that learning and instrument performing in a musical ensemble can offer to the students at MVA. You may reach her at MVA Band.

Mr. Caldera has been teaching string orchestra for SUHSD since 1997. He is the district symphonic orchestra teacher which he co-teaches with Ms. Glover. Mr. Caldera has been a member of the local musician’s union since 1994. Mr. Caldera chose to play the ‘cello when he was in 7^th grade. In the following few years, he learned how to play the string bass, the viola and the violin. Now he teaches all four of the string instruments of the orchestra. He has been teaching at MVA for 18 years. His favorite part of his job is turning your average ordinary person into a great musician.
